Welcome from the Executive Headteacher

Mr M Talbot,

Executive Headteacher

Covid-19 – A message from the Leadership Team – January 2021

The government have stipulated that all schools only offer on-site education to children of critical workers and children deemed vulnerable. All other pupils will be educated off-site. This type of education is called ‘Remote Learning’. We have produced the following document to support parents/carers to understand how remote education is undertaken at Greenleys Junior School:

GJS Remote Education Parental Information – January 2021

Our latest Risk Assessment and Protective Measures Plan for this period can be found here:

GJS Risk Assessment and Protective Measures Plan – January 2021

An initial letter sent out to parents on 31st December 2020 can be found here:

GJS Parent Letter – January 2021 Opening – 31st Dec 2020

All visitors (including parents/carers) are still not permitted into the building unless they have an agreed appointment. Contact the school office via email or phone if you need to talk to us.

We appreciate your continued support in this matter.

Greenleys Junior School is part of the Greenleys Junior School and Langland Community School Federation established in January 2019. We are firm advocates of working in partnership with others and Greenleys Junior School engages proactively and closely with Langland Community School, Portfields Primary School, Cedars Primary School, Giles Brook Primary School, Spring Lane Primary School, Lumbertubs Primary School and Falconhurst Primary School via our Collabor8 School Partnership. Greenleys Junior School is also heavily engaged with setting up the newly established Milton Keynes Education Partnership (MKEP).

We know how important it is to choose the right school for your child and we hope the information in this website helps to give you a useful insight into our school and encourages you to take a closer look. We warmly welcome prospective parents and children to come and have a guided tour of the school where the team will answer any questions or queries you may have.

My role is split across two sites and focuses on delivering the strategic aims of each school. Greenleys Junior has a Head of School who is responsible for running the school. You can access Miss Thurstance’s welcome message by clicking the link below.

Many thanks for visiting.
